Tip: Make the “Send Email” Button Open in Google Chrome,

  1. Access Chrome Settings Begin by opening the Google Chrome web browser. Once launched:
  • Click on the three vertical dots located at the top-right corner of the browser window to access the Settings menu.
  • Select “Settings” from the dropdown menu to open Chrome’s settings page.

2. Navigate to Privacy and Security On the Chrome settings page:

  • Scroll down until you find the “Privacy and Security” section.
  • Click on “Site settings” to expand the options.
  • Next, locate “Additional permissions” and click on it to reveal more options.

3. Adjust Default SettingsWithin the “Additional permissions” menu:

  • Scroll down to find the “Protocol handlers” option.
  • Click on the arrow next to it to expand the menu.
  • Choose “Protocol handlers” to access further settings.
  • Under “Default behaviour,” select the option that allows sites to ask to handle protocols.

4. Configure Gmail as Default Handler To ensure Gmail handles all email links in Chrome:

  • Open your Gmail account in a new tab.
  • Look for an icon with two intertwined diamonds on the right side of the URL bar.
  • Click on the icon to trigger a pop-up asking, “Allow mail.google.com to open all links?”
  • Choose “Allow” to let Gmail handle email links automatically.

By following these steps, email links clicked within Chrome will seamlessly open in Gmail, streamlining your email workflow. This simple adjustment enhances convenience and efficiency when dealing with email correspondence.
